Saints draw Cambridge United in Carabao Cup
Southampton will travel to League One outfit Cambridge United in round two of the Carabao Cup later this month.
Saints reached the last 16 of the competition last season, eventually bowing out to Chelsea on penalties after victories over Newport County and Sheffield United.
Ralph Hasenhüttl's side will now take on Cambridge at Abbey Stadium looking to emulate the emphatic 8-0 win over Newport at the same stage in 2021/22.
The tie will take place the week commencing August 22nd, with a confirmed date and kick-off time to be announced in due course.
