Saints depart for Austria training camp

Southampton's men's first team departed for their pre-season training camp in Austria on Wednesday morning, with Ralph Hasenhüttl selecting 26 players to make the trip.

Based in the lakeside resort of Velden am Wörthersee, where they will be based until Wednesday 20th July, Saints will continue their preparations for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

Whilst in Austria, Hasenhüttl's side will face Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig on Saturday 16th June (1pm BST) at Lavanttal-Arena – the home of Austrian side Wolfsberger AC – before facing SK Austria Klagenfurt on Monday 18th July (6pm BST) at Wörthersee Stadion.

Romain Perraud, Theo Walcott and Nathan Redmond have remained at Staplewood to continue work to be 100 per cent fit for selection. All three are expected to be fit to rejoin training when the team returns on Wednesday 20th July.
