Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has been particularly pleased with the contribution of young striker Armando Broja of late, with the Albanian the subject of much speculation as the winter transfer window approaches its midway point.

Hasenhüttl has been clear on his stance to keep loanee Broja at the club for the season-long spell he'd originally signed up for, but couldn't at this stage shed any further light on the potential of future negotiations for Broja's permanent signature.

The 20-year-old took his personal goal tally to seven in the week, with an excellently taken strike in a 4-1 victory over Brentford, and Hasenhüttl has since confirmed that the forward is "enjoying" his time on the south coast and relishing his opportunity to compete in the Premier League.

When asked about Broja's future, the manager said: "We will find the right, yeah, conversation with the player. The agent. The club. What they want, what Chelsea wants. I think we should let the young lad develop his game. This is the most important for him, to play games.

"He likes it here, he enjoys it here. We have a young team here. These are all reasons why he's developed his game and why he's getting better. In the end, we have to find the right decision for the boy.

"When it's a win win win for everybody, then we will find the right decision for the summer. As long as he's our player, we hopefully will have much fun with him and try to make him better."

Speaking more broadly about the club's transfer policy and what the new ownership model means for player trading, Hasenhüttl added: "It's not about the amount of money we want to spend, it's about the plans we have for future developing with this young team.

"It's a very good way for us. They [the owners] are definitely keen to do the same.

"The atmosphere in this club is focussed, positive and in the end, yeah, full of passion and willing to make the next step. Looking forward to showing ourselves and how good we are in these super tough fixtures coming up."
