Southampton Football Club would like to inform fans with tickets for tomorrow’s match at Vicarage Road that Watford will be performing random Covid-19 pass spot-checks on both home and visiting supporters.

Fans will be granted access if they cannot confirm their Covid-19 status for now, but are asked to prepare to have their Covid-19 status checked, with dedicated staff performing the checks next to the away fans coach drop-off.

All adult fans (18+) should be prepared to present their NHS Covid Pass upon request to confirm they meet one of the following criteria:

• Have been double vaccinated for more than two weeks
• Have received a negative Covid-19 PCR or lateral flow test within 48 hours of kick-off
• Have Covid-19 antibodies having tested positive for Covid-19 within the last six months

Supporters with disabilities or medical conditions who are exempt from vaccination or Covid-19 testing should advise Watford’s staff accordingly, when requested to confirm they meet these criteria.

Any children under the age of 18 are exempt from Covid-19 certification checks.

General attendee information

The nearest station is Watford High Street, a 10-minute walk away from the ground. Watford Junction train station is about a 20-minute walk. Watford also has its own London Underground tube station, which is on the Metropolitan Line and is situated just under one mile from Vicarage Road.

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off, and supporters are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to ensure their smooth entry into Vicarage Road.

The designated ‘away’ pub is The Oddfellows, postcode WD18 0RD, which is around a 6-minute walk to the ground.

Supporters can find a variety of pies in the away end, with a chickpea and tomato vegetarian option available, along with hot and cold soft drinks. Alcohol is not served in the away end due to the limited concourse size.

Watford have a designated away ticket office next to the away end should supporters need any assistance when they arrive, and the Vicarage Roadies help team (dressed in green) will also be in various locations to offer help if needed.

To report any anti-social or discriminatory behaviour while at Vicarage Road, supporters are encouraged to text the details to 07825 535 269, including a description of the incident and the block, row and seat. This allows Watford’s safety and security team to take action as the incident occurs.
