Southampton have added a pre-season friendly against La Liga side Levante to their schedule, taking place at St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday 4th August, 7pm BST.
The match creates a double-header for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side against Spanish opposition, hosting Levante before welcoming Athletic Club three days later.
Paco López’s side finished 14th in La Liga last season but enjoyed a run to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, where they lost to Athletic.
Known as The Frogs, the two sides have never met competitively but will go head-to-head at St Mary’s as 2021/22 preparations continue, with ticket details to follow in due course.
