Hasenhüttl impressed by Tella

Manager Ralph Hasenhüttl highlighted Nathan Tella's continuing development as a positive from Southampton's defeat at Tottenham on Wednesday night.

The Academy graduate was awarded a fourth Premier League start of the campaign in the capital, producing a lively a performance on the wing.

Despite being unable to help Saints avoid defeat on the road, Hasenhüttl was buoyed by the youngster's performance.

"Nathan Tella was very good," he said. "I really like this guy. How much he was working and really a pity we couldn't take something as he made some really good things.

He gives a lot of things that we need in our game and this is, for a young player, really amazing."
