Saints faced a difficult test last-time-out as Tottenham Hotspur visited Staplewood Campus on Saturday.

At the break Spurs led 1-0 after a spirited Saints display kept them at bay for the majority of the half, however two goals within the last 20 minutes secured the three points for the visitors.

There were also three goals for Norwich last weekend, who came away from Brighton with a 3-1 victory.

Brighton took the lead on 27 minutes through Zak Emmerson, before the first of a Kenneth Aboh double and an Alex Matos goal turned the tide for the Canaries.

Saturday’s game proves vital for both sides as Saints can go level with Leicester with a win whilst Norwich can overtake Arsenal in seventh.

It was a tight run affair when the two sides last met at the end of November earlier this season.

The hosts Saints responded to an early Abu Kamara goal by equalising four minutes later through Sam Bellis.

But Kamara’s second of the afternoon, and eventual winner, put Norwich back in front just one-minute shy of the break.

Both sides battled for that all-important next goal during a well contested second half at Staplewood Campus, but the visitors eventually came away with all three points.
