WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Saints head into this fixture after a disappointing loss to Leicester City in the Premier League at the weekend.

Saints only reached the fourth round of the competition in 2020, where they were edged out by Tottenham in a fourth-round replay.

Hasenhüttl and his team will be looking for a good run in this year's competition.

Shrewsbury progressed to the third round of this year’s FA cup after victory over Cambridge United and Oxford City.

Shrewsbury also reached the fourth round last season, where they were beaten by Liverpool in a fourth round replay at Anfield.

Both teams will be hoping to build on last year's FA Cup journey and will be eagerly playing for a fourth round home tie against Arsenal.

TEAM NEWS

Saints manager Ralph Hasenhüttl is set to make a number changes to the side that lost to Leicester City at the weekend.

Will Smallbone adds his name to the long-term injury list after sustaining a knee injury against Leicester.

Danny Ings, Jannik Vestergaard, Oriol Romeu, Nathan Redmond, Moussa Djenepo and Mohammed Salisu will also not be available for selection.

With Steve Cotterill recovering from Covid, Aaron Wilbraham is at the helm for Shrewsbury this week.

After a challenging couple of weeks with many players also being struck down with the virus, they have now returned to training and are in good shape with plenty of options for Wilbraham to explore.

It will be a mixed group tomorrow - some guys who have to play, because there are not a lot of alternatives and some young guys will have to step in.
