Southampton midfielder Callum Slattery has today become the third Academy graduate to join forces with League One outfit Gillingham this season, having sealed a loan move to Priestfield Stadium.

The club's B team captain joins Tom O'Connor and Tyreke Johnson at the Kent-based club, with Gillingham looking to strengthen their push towards the top half of the League One table - they currently sit 14th.

Slattery, now 21, spent a small amount of time abroad at Dutch side De Graafschap last term; a move which was unfortunately cut short due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The midfielder will now team up with Steve Evans's side ahead of this weekend's trip to Accrington Stanley, as he continues to gain valuable first-team experience before returning to Saints in the summer.
