Women's Under-21s to host more trials in April
Southampton FC Women are continuing their recruitment for the 2024/25 season, looking for world class developing players to join their Academy.
The Academy consists of Under-14, Under-16, and Under-21 squads and play at the highest level of academy football, with the U16 & U21’s being part of our FA Category One licensed Pro-Game Academy.
This season has seen two professional debuts from 17-year-olds in league and cup competitions, with academy players now training regularly with and alongside the first team.
Now, the club are looking for new and exciting talent join the Girls & Women’s Academy for next season, with trials by invitation taking place on the 9th and 11th April at Staplewood Campus.

The Under-21s side play in the FA PGA U21 mid-week league – a national league for all licensed academies that play on a Wednesday – and cup competitions over the season.
Training takes place at Staplewood Campus throughout the week, including all day on a Friday and Saturday, with additional mid-week evenings.
At Southampton Football Club, we are committed to supporting our young players in their education as well, with a requirement for all players to be in education until 18-years-old with a clear educational plan after that.
Players in both further and higher education are encouraged and supported; we have excellent relationships with local education providers - schools, colleges, and universities - to support whatever educational journey our young players undertake alongside football.
