The Academy had an impressive run to book their place in the final, beating Bournemouth Sports 10-0 in the quarter-final, before overcoming Southampton Women’s 3-0 in the semi-final.

Kaylee Buckingham played a key part in both victories for Saints, scoring three in the quarters, before adding a brace to her tally in the previous round.

AFC Bournemouth Women, who currently sit fourth in the FA Women’s National League South West, beat Portsmouth and Moneyfields 1-0 and 2-0 respectively in their run to the final, with Molly Clark scoring the goal which saw them progress.

With Portsmouth FC having won the title 13 times, the clash offers both clubs the chance to get their hands on a new accolade.
