Women's players nominated for Championship awards
Southampton FC Women have received three nominations across the Barclays Women’s Championship Goal and Save of the Season categories following their debut season in the division.
Saints’ Lexi Lloyd-Smith and Laura Rafferty were both nominated in the Goal of the Season category, while Kayla Rendell received the nod for Save of the Season.
The goals in question which made the list were Lexi Lloyd-Smith’s second goal against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and Laura Rafferty’s looping equaliser against Lewes at the Dripping Pan in the second game of the season.
Voting opens on Tuesday 23rd May, so make sure get your votes in to support the girls.
