Southampton FC Women's Emma Harries has been confirmed as available for an ahead-of-schedule return on the final day of the WSL2 season.

Head Coach Simon Parker explained in his last pre-match squad update of the campaign that the striker will be in the matchday squad for the first time, with potential of featuring on the pitch a possibility.

Harries joined Saints in the summer but has not had the planned debut year as she was sidelined for the entirety of it, but her recovery journey has set up a potential final day debut for the club as a positive boost to end the season.

"It's massive for us." Parker said, "Emma came in and we had such high hopes as we know the player she can be, and we've really missed her we can't lie about that. We haven't had a recognised striker all season and that's what she is.

Emma Harries smiles in training.

"She's come back a little bit earlier, the plan was to try and get her ready for pre-season and she's worked so hard so for her to be available for some minutes this weekend is fantastic. We'll have to see how the game plays out and how things are, but having Emma fit and ready for any kind of minutes is huge for us.

"We're very hopeful that she'll be able to come on, make her debut and hopefully have a very memorable one."
