Walker-Peters ruled out of Sunderland clash
Russell Martin shared that Kyle Walker-Peters will not be in contention for this weekend's SkyBet Championship clash against Sunderland.
"Not for tomorrow," Martin said frankly, adding that "we have an extended break after this period and he will be back for the next one.
"He came outside and maybe we could have got away with it, but it's not worth risking it for this one to then not have him back for the rest of the run-in, so he'll be out for tomorrow."
Whilst he will be without the right-back for one more game, Saints' manager was quick to share his confidence in the squad options available to him.
"The guys have coped really well without [Kyle] last weekend, and up at Anfield with the way they played.
"Whilst he's a loss because he's a fantastic player, we have a lot of brilliant players that are all ready to come in."
