Saints are three games into the new season and picked up their first point of the campaign before the international break in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion.

After going 2-0 behind after just 12 minutes, the youngsters rallied in the second half with quickfire goals from strikers Will Merry and Josh Pitts to level proceedings before the hour mark.

The result was a positive sign after a tricky opening two games that ended in defeats against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.

In midweek, they were also given a chance to play in the Hampshire FA's Servio Men's Senior Cup with a trip to face Cowes Sports on the Isle of Wight.

Goals from Pitts and Merry again, as well as strikes from Nick Oyekunle and Moses Sesay, earned an impressive 4-2 victory that provided an excellent learning experience against a Men's outfit.

Saturday's opponents, Norwich, have endured a similarly tough start and are the only side in the division without a point in their first three matches.

The Canaries suffered back-to-back 2-1 defeats against Leicester City and Reading before a 4-1 dismantling against West Bromwich Albion.

PREVIOUS MEETING

In this fixture last season, Norwich took the points back to Norfolk with a 2-0 win at Staplewood.

The goals that day came from Dubem Eze and Ken Aboh either side of half time.
