Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that youngster Tyler Dibling has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2026.

Still only 17, the attacking midfielder has enjoyed his start to the season as an Under-21s regular, having also earned a handful of opportunities around the first team.

Dibling made his professional debut as a substitute in the Carabao Cup first round trip to Gillingham, with regular senior training and matchday squad inclusions also presented to him.

At Under-21s level, he's scored five goals and registered three assists in 11 games, in a positive personal campaign so far.

"It feels good to know that I'm trusted," Dibling explained, "they want to push me so I've just to keep going, do what I'm doing with the Under-21s and when I do get my chance with the first team I've just got to take it."

"It's been good when me, Sam [Amo-Ameyaw], and Jayden [Meghoma] have been pushed up to be with the first team more regularly, because they are better players they'll make you a better player, it's definitely helped.

"Now my future is secured [at Southampton], I know I've just got to knuckle down and keep going."

Academy Director, Andy Goldie, further explained the club's decision to secure Dibling's future for the next three years.

"Tyler has continued to embrace the challenges and opportunities we've provided him this season, and we're delighted to reward him with a new contract.

"Although he's already featured in our first team, and represented his country at the U17 World Cup this season, he is incredibly driven and determined to build on those successes.

"We now look forward to supporting him in maximising his full potential to earn greater success in the future."
