Saints to face Colchester United in Carabao Cup first round
We will start our 2026/27 season with a trip to Colchester United in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
It's the first time the two sides have met since March 2011, where goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and DeanHammond ensured of a 2-0 away victory in League One.
The trip to JobServe Community Stadium will be played on the weekend commencing Friday 7th August 2026, with the game coming ahead of Southampton's opening day clash in the Sky Bet Championship with Watford at Vicarage Road.
Ticket details for the first round tie will be confirmed in due course.
