Saints or Liverpool face away tie in FA Cup quarter-final
Southampton will face a trip to Nottingham Forest or Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals should they overcome Liverpool in tonight’s fifth-round clash at Anfield.
Both of the fifth-round ties taking place this evening will be settled on the night, meaning the draw will be fully confirmed.
Should Saints cause an upset against the newly-crowned Carabao Cup winners, it will be Premier League opposition away from home again in the last eight.
The quarter-finals will take place across the weekend of Saturday 16th March. With Leicester already assured of their place, Saints’ Sky Bet Championship trip to the King Power Stadium will no longer take place on that weekend.
