Following last weekend’s charity matchday against Burnley, Saints Foundation are delighted to announce that £15,000 has been raised for the charity, including a generous donation by Main Club Partner Sportsbet.io.

Fans were invited to make a donation of £10 to go towards the Foundation’s work transforming lives in and around Southampton, with donations totalling £4,660. Saints Foundation would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated for their incredible support during these difficult times.

A limited-edition Saints shirt featuring Saints Foundation across the front sold out through the online Saints Store, raising an additional £1,250.

In an extremely generous show of support, Main Club Partner Sportsbet.io – who donated their front of shirt sponsorship to Saints Foundation for the fixture against Burnley – have agreed to donate £10,000 to the pot, raising the overall total to £15,910.

You can now help the charity increase the total raised by bidding for the match worn shirts from the game against Burnley, with all proceeds from the online auction going towards Saints Foundation’s work in the local community. The online bidding closes on Sunday 18th April.

Greg Baker, Head of Saints Foundation, said: “It was an immensely proud moment to see the team take to the pitch in Saints Foundation shirts last Sunday – and of course, seeing those shirts worn for a great win was the icing on the cake!

“We are incredibly grateful for Sportsbet.io for this unique opportunity to highlight our work. I’d like to personally thank them for their additional donation of £10,000, which is amazingly generous.

“Thank you to everyone who supported us for this year’s charity matchday. The money raised will make a huge difference as we continue to help the city recover from this hugely difficult year.”

Saints Foundation will use this money to continue helping people of all ages and abilities live healthy, empowered lives in our community. You can read more of the inspiring work they are doing to help their participants below.
