To mark the Premier League Supports campaign, we're celebrating 'One of Our Own' – someone who has made an exceptional contribution to Saints Foundation over the years.
Premier League Kicks coach, walking football instructor, and now Benali On Tour fundraiser – Denzil Emerson's exceptional dedication and hard graft has benefitted every area of Saints Foundation.
Denzil has been a casual coach for nearly 10 years now, and during that time he's worked across a wide variety of projects.
His passion for coaching has been felt by participants of all ages and abilities, from the young people he's spent rainy evenings with at Premier League Kicks, to the squad of Senior Saints he's leading at walking football.
Denzil was mid-session with the team when we surprised him with his One of Our Own accolade, which included a special Premier League Supports scarf.
Just last month, Denzil was one of 30 trekkers who took on Benali On Tour alongside our ambassador Franny Benali, raising more than £700 of the amazing £16,000 event total.
Going the extra mile – 26.2 miles, to be exact – sums up Denzil’s amazing dedication to our work. A true Saint. One of our own.
