Matchday Information: Saints vs Tottenham
Saints return to Continental League Cup action on Sunday 18th December (12pm GMT), welcoming group E table toppers, Tottenham to St Mary’s.
Fans are advised to arrive early so there’s enough time to collect tickets, get through security checks, turnstiles and make their way to their seats ahead of kick off.
Be aware that strike action will be affecting South Western Railway trains on Sunday, with the operator warning of a severely reduced service.
There will be no trains between Portsmouth and Southampton but rail replacement services will be provided. Check your journey ahead of time to see if you’re impacted.
Tickets for this fixture must be booked in advance and there’s limited availability.
E-tickets are permitted at St Mary’s. Simply download your ticket from your MySaints Account and scan at the turnstile when entering the stadium.
Remember that all bags will be searched on entry to St Mary’s, so only bring an A4-sized bag if you need to.
AROUND THE GROUND
PITCHSIDE INTERVIEWS AND ENTERTAINMENT
Ahead of entering the ground, enjoy entertainment from a live DJ outside the Kingsland area of the stadium from 10:30.
Then at half time, make sure not to miss a pitch side interview with Lynda Hale & Morag Pearce who were both part of the first ever England women’s team and both come from Southampton.
There’ll also be a live performance at half time from Saints Brass, playing Christmas songs. You can also catch them outside the ground pre-match, welcoming people coming across the bridge on the northern side of the stadium.
And following the launch this week of Southampton Football Club and Starling Bank’s new grassroots coaching initiative, aimed at encouraging more women and girls into coaching, Starling will be handing out A3 team posters to get signed by players after the match. Read more about the initiative here.
THE GASWORKS
Soak up the matchday atmosphere from The Gasworks bar outside St Mary’s - you’ll find it midway down the Kingsland stand.
It’s open to all on a first-come-first-served basis prior to kick-off – with no membership required.
MASCOTS
Sammy and Mary will be dressed in Santa outfits, handing out sweets inside and outside the ground in the build up to kick. They’ll be more than happy to pose for photos with young fans.
IN THE CONCOURSE
CASHLESS STADIUM
St Mary’s is now a cashless stadium so make sure you bring an alternative payment method for any purchases at the stadium on matchdays.
REUSABLE CUPS
Remember you can find reusable pint cups in the St Mary's concourses and the Fanzone in a bid to reduce single-use plastics - when you’ve finished with yours, please place it inside so they can be collected after each match, washed thoroughly and recirculated.
WATER REFILL STATIONS – FAMILY AND KINGSLAND STANDS
In line with our Halo Effect initiative, we now have water refill stations in the Kingsland and Family stands. Refillable water bottles are permitted in the Kingsland and family stands only. Single use plastic bottles are permitted everywhere in the ground though they will need their lids removing in all areas other than the family stand. Flasks are not permitted into any areas of the stadium.
