WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Saints made it ten unbeaten in all competitions with victory at Fulham in the FA Cup fifth round on Sunday. Tonda Eckert's side will now be looking to take that momentum back into the Championship, with two away fixtures in a busy week on the road.

An eight win in ten could see Saints rise to as high as sixth, above Wrexham on goal difference, their highest league position since victory on opening day.

West Brom are without a win in 2026, but a recent managerial change will give Baggies fans hope of a revival at a pivotal point of the season. James Morrison is in interim charge until the end of the season, hoping to build on a late point at Sheffield United in his first game.

TEAM NEWS

West Brom: The Baggies are without Mikey Johnson, who has their most assists this season with nine, after a stress fracture picked up last month. Krystian Bielik is another key absentee with a shoulder injury, joining Karlan Grant and Tammer Bany on the sidelines.

Saints:
Eckert confirmed his side faced no new injury concerns following FA Cup victory at Fulham, confirming captain Jack Stephens and midfielder Shea Charles will be amongst those returning to the side for Wednesday night's trip.

THE MANAGERS

James Morrison: To follow.

Tonda Eckert: "It’s such an important four games coming up now. Then we have a week to recover and worry about what’s to come after that. We come from a good moment and need to carry on. You know how it is in football, you work so hard to get into that position and then you work hard to maintain it. The basis will always be the humility to work against the ball.

"[West Brom] deserved the point against Sheffield United. They played well on the counter and defended well. We need to make sure we don't allow too many balls into their box. It's also the stadium where you have to cover the most distance in the league. It's a physical challenge for us tomorrow so we have to make sure we're spot on."

ONES TO WATCH

George Campbell: The American international has found a goalscoring touch in recent weeks from both right back and centre-back.

The 24-year-old made a darting run from the heart of the Baggies defence to secure a valuable point from outside the box inside the last ten minutes last Saturday, making it two goals in four games.

Ross Stewart: Although only playing 20 minutes at Fulham on Saturday, the Scot was in the right place at the right time to secure progression from the spot in stoppage time.

After a torrid time with injuries, Stewart has contributed to six goals in last 10 games, looking to find that consistence which has cruelly eluded him in a Saints shirt so far.
