Saints to host Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final
Southampton have been drawn at home to Arsenal in the quarter-final of the Emirates FA Cup.
Tonda Eckert's side saw off Premier League outfit Fulham 1-0 on Sunday to take them into the final eight which sees them meet the Gunners at St Mary's Stadium.
Arsenal came up against lower league opposition in the fifth round, leaving Mansfield Town with a 2-1 win against the League One side.
Southampton's opponents are no strangers to St Mary's Stadium, having met plenty of times over the years. The most recent meeting coming in a Premier League clash last year.
All four ties will be played around the weekend of Saturday 4th April, with full fixture and ticket details to follow once a date and kick-off time has been confirmed.
Saints' cup involvement means the clash with Ipswich at St Mary's on Friday 3rd April and trip to Wrexham on Monday 6th April will now both be rearranged, with details to follow in due course as well as information for supporters who have already purchased tickets.
Saints will return to St Mary's after four games on the road with a home clash against Norwich on Wednesday 18th March (7.45pm GMT). Tickets start from £25 for Adults and £15 for Juniors. All previously purchased tickets for the original date remain valid.
