Southampton go in search of their first win in three matches after disappointing defeats on the road at Norwich and Liverpool.

Saints haven’t lost at St Mary’s since Wolves’ 1-0 victory back in September, picking up victories over Leeds and Aston Villa since then.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce as they come off the back of victories over Watford and Legia Warsaw.

Jamie Vardy scored twice on the weekend for Leicester, while James Maddison and Ademola Lookman also found themselves on the scoresheet in their 4-2 victory.

Leicester sit 10th in the current Premier League standings with 15th place Saints just four points behind.

Both Moi Elyounoussi and Ibrahima Diallo are back and available for selection for Leicester City’s visit to St Mary’s.

Stuart Armstrong remains the only player in Hasenhüttl’s squad who is not in contention for Wednesday’s clash.

Youri Tielemans will be missing from Brendan Rodgers’ squad as he looks to field a similar side to that which featured against Watford on the weekend.

: “Everyone knows that they have some threats with Vardy and other players. They are getting more and more stabilised.

“They've played a lot of games in the Europa League and the Premier League. They are super tough. We'll have to have a good game.”

“They’ve had good results and may have felt they could have had better results. They’ve got young, hungry players who are looking to prove a point.

“We have to be ready for a tough game. They’ve got talented players who can cause you a problem.”

Given the opportunity to start against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, Hasenhüttl might look to Broja again as Saints gear up for a clash under the lights.

Unable to show his quality against Saturday’s opponents, he’ll be looking to make a statement in front of the home fans.

It appeared the midfielder rediscovered a certain flair when he faced Watford at the weekend.

Opening the scoring for Leicester after just 16 minutes, Maddison looked increasingly threatening as he played a part in both the second and third goals too.
