THE PROGRAMME

The matchday programme is available to order online, as well as from the various sellers around St Mary’s, for the reduced price of £2.50.

We’ve paid homage to our FA Cup triumph of 1976 with a photo of the trophy on the cover, draped in yellow ribbons, from the launch of our special commemorative shirt. Created to honour the 50th anniversary of the most celebrated moment in Saints history, the shirt was worn in victory at Doncaster in the third round, and will be worn by the team again on Saturday.

Inside you'll find some posters for your wall along with Elias Jelert’s A-Z of Football, as the Galatasaray loanee recalls some memorable nights in the Champions League, as well as Tonda Eckert’s latest notes and coverage of our visitors.

WHAT’S AT STAKE?

After the euphoria of Tuesday night at the King Power Stadium, Saints will be on a high heading into the weekend's cup clash.

Shea Charles's stunning 96th minute winner secured a third successive win in the Championship, lifting Tonda Eckert's side up to ninth and within a single point of the play-offs.

Contrastingly, the second half collapse left Leicester flirting with the relegation spots and confirmed a fourth straight league defeat.

Certainly wounded, Andy King's side will want to go some way to exacting revenge on Saints for the midweek defeat whilst the hosts will want to continue building momentum across all competitions.

TEAM NEWS

Saints: Tonda Eckert has confirmed he will make changes for the cup encounter, but also revealed captain Jack Stephens and Welington require scans on injuries picked up in midweek, therefore missing the weekend's action.

Goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is sidelined after surgery on a wrist injury, leaving George Long in line for a debut should Saints' Head Coach opt to rest Daniel Peretz between the sticks. New signing Jamie Jones could also be amongst the substitutes having signed a short-term contract with the club.

Elsewhere, Mads Roerslev will undergo surgery on an Achilles injury on Monday, potentially ending his season.

Leicester: The Foxes were without seven players on Tuesday night and will have a list of absentees once again, including Joe Aribo who is once again ineligible to feature against his parent club.

Bade Aluko, sent off at St Mary's in the league fixture, could be amongst the players to feature as Andy King shuffles his pack.

THE MANAGERS

Tonda Eckert: "Very much looking forward to the cup tie. We know the importance of the competition and we will make sure that we have a good game and go onto the next round.

"Been lots of conversations over the last days and also today to asses players. We've had quite a tough schedule over the last weeks and have another nine games coming up to the 21st March, so taking all that into consideration we will make sure we have best possible line-up and fresh legs on the pitch tomorrow, but there will be a couple of changes."

Andy King: "It’ll be a little bit different, without the pressure of the three points, but that doesn’t take away from the importance of the game for me. We’ve not been on a good run and we need a win to change the momentum and the course of our season.

"I want to go down there to be strong. Every game for this football club while I’m in charge will be important. There may be some players we have to manage as this is a three-game week."

ONES TO WATCH

Shea Charles: Tuesday night's hero, the Northern Ireland international could be handed a spot in the starting eleven for the first time since returning from injury at the end of January.

Having built up minutes over the last five games, Charles will want to build on his first league goal of the season on Tuesday night against the same opponents.

Abdul Fatawu: Whether the Ghanaian starts or comes off the bench, there's no doubt the winger will be the biggest threat to monitor.

The 21-year-old scored a stunning strike against Saints in midweek, his eigthth of the season and third in the last four games.
