Palace claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over Everton at the weekend, bouncing back from a run of three defeats.

Sitting 12th in the current standings, three points ahead of Wednesday’s visitors, Vierra’s side will be keen to build on the weekend’s performance with another three points.

It’s a huge week for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side who face Crystal Palace and Brentford before Christmas.

Saints’ last away victory came at the end of October at Watford, where Ché Adams scored early before a resolute display saw them walk away from Vicarage Road with all three points.

Without a win in five games, Saints will be looking to pick up points as the year draws to a close to elevate them in the league table.

Joachim Andersen is back and available for selection for the hosts, while Nathan Ferguson and James McArthur sidelined.

Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed Saints will be without Ché Adams as they travel to Selhurst Park on Wednesday, while there are also doubts over fellow strike partners Adam Armstrong and Armando Broja.

Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster remain out through injury, meaning new loanee Willy Caballero is set to take centre stage again.

Mohammed Salisu and Oriol Romeu are available for selection as they return from their one match suspension after picking up five yellow cards.

“Now what is important is to focus on the next one, Southampton.

“We know how good they are, how well they can play. It's going to be a different challenge but we have to be ready for it.”

“We have had some good games with them, some good for us, some good for them.

“I think it is a very tight fixture and we have to go there with a belief in what we are doing to make it as difficult as possible for them to create something.

Leading the way for most goals scored (6) and most assists (3) so far this season, the 21-year-old midfielder has been directly involved in 41% of Crystal Palace’s 22 goals in the Premier League this season.

Enjoying a good run of games for Saints in recent weeks, the 22-year-old has been in fine form and could fill the attacking void left with Adams out and Broja and Armstrong a doubt for Wednesday’s fixture.
