There were plenty of positives to take for Southampton's youngsters out on loan this weekend. This and more in this week’s Loan Watch…

In League Two, Carlisle United claimed a vital three points over Leyton Orient to keep their league survival hopes alive.

Recently under new management, Paul Simpson was eager to make an instant impact on his return as United manager.

While Simpson opted for four changes to the starting eleven, Saints loanee Dynel Simeu kept his position in the line-up. Simeu’s involvement cannot be understated, helping United keep a clean sheet away from home with a solid defensive display.

Also in League Two, Will Ferry and Crawley Town secured an impressive victory over top of the table Forest Green.

Again, a strong defensive performance was needed from the Saints loanee as the visitors threatened a comeback, pulling a goal back with just ten minutes left to play.

Finally, in non-league, Jack Bycroft and Dorchester Town boosted their survival hopes with a 2-1 victory over Swindon Supermarine.
