Young striker Dan Nlundulu made a goalscoring start to his loan spell at Cheltenham Town, scoring in his second game for the Robins in League One this weekend. This and more in this week’s Loan Watch…

Nlundulu came straight into the starting eleven last week for the 1-1 draw at Burton Albion following his move to the club this month.

Seven days later and the young striker kickstarted his goal tally for Michael Duff's side, giving Cheltenham the lead just two minutes shy of the interval.

The Saints loanee was substituted in stoppage time, just three minutes before visitors Charlton grabbed a cruel leveller through Chuks Aneke.

Down a division in League Two it was a debut for one of Saints’ youngsters, as Caleb Watts featured for Crawley Town at Carlisle.

The midfielder was introduced on 63 minutes, but unfortunately his maiden appearance was cut short through injury 18 minutes later.

Crawley followed Cheltenham in falling to a late equaliser, Lewis Alessandra saving Carlisle in the 93rd minute.

Fellow Saints youngster Will Ferry, who also plays his football at The People’s Pension Stadium this season, missed out due to injury.

Into non-league now and keeper Jack Bycroft made it two successive starts for new club Dorchester Town, a place between the sticks for the trip to Beaconsfield Town on Saturday following a home fixture with Taunton Town last weekend.

Manager Glenn Howes told the club website: "It's going to do Jack the world of good being here. We're expecting him to deliver and I thought he was really accomplished.

"You can tell he's got great attributes, I know Southampton have high hopes for him, and I think he's going to be a really, really good goalkeeper."

Fellow keeper Matt Hall also continued his run of starting games for Southern League Division One South side Melksham Town but came out of the weekend on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat to Bristol Manor Farm.

Young full-backs Jake Vokins and Kayne Ramsay will look to be in action for Ross County on Tuesday night, as Malky Mackay’s side host Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
