Southampton Football Club can confirm that young midfielder Kazeem Olaigbe has completed a permanent transfer to Cercle Brugge K.S.V.

After starting his youth career at Anderlecht, the Belgian youth international made the move to England as a 16-year-old when he joined Saints in 2019.

Olaigbe became an important part of the Under-21s side and was involved in first team matchday squads before getting his first taste of senior football last season with loan moves to Ross County and Harrogate Town.

Now 20-years-old, Olaigbe returns to his home country in a permanent move to Cercle Brugge, who finished eighth in the Belgian Pro League last season and narrowly missed out on qualification for the Europa Conference League second qualifying round.

The club wishes Kazeem all the best for this next stage of his career.
