Ings likely to miss Leicester trip

Ralph Hasenhüttl is contending with a number of absentees ahead of Saturday's trip to King Power Stadium, including Danny Ings who returned a positive Covid-19 test following last week's Liverpool victory and has since been self-isolating.

Moussa Djenepo has recently joined Nathan Redmond and Jannik Vestergaard on the long-term injury list, while young forward pairing Michael Obafemi and Nathan Tella will also be missing.

The manager has been handed a boost by the timely return of Ché Adams, who has recovered from concussion, while Alex McCarthy has ended his period of isolation and is available for selection this weekend.

"We've had one positive test since the Liverpool game; Danny Ings, so he's been out for the past 10 days," Hasenhüttl confirmed.

"When you stick to the protocols, you minimise the risks and that's what we're continuing to do. I don't know if Danny can come back [to training] tomorrow, but it looks like he's out for the weekend.

"Michael Obafemi has had surgery and Nathan Tella has problems with his muscle. We have a few problems in the moment which gives me a bit of a headache.

"We've not got the chance to use all the recovery equipment we have in the building at the moment and we had a shorter pre-season so that plays a part. Reddie, Jannik and Moussa are all longer-term injuries.

"Alex [McCarthy] and Ché Adams have come back in, so they will both be available."
