First Year Scholars celebrate successful GCSE results
Southampton Football Club is proud to celebrate the GCSE results of our latest First Year Scholar group, after their successful results day over the summer.
The club, and education team, is pleased to announce that the entire cohort received the required grades to continue into a further education programme across a variety of courses at a BTEC/A-Level equivalent standard, which will support each players' individual education and lifelong learning plan.
In an exciting addition, this is also the first time the Academy has introduced an individualised full A-Level programme for one of its players.
Congratulations go to Henry Upstell, who achieved consistent high grades across all subjects and is able to study an additional A-Level in Economics as part of his further education, supported by the Premier League.
The club would like to congratulate the entire First Year Scholarship group and looks forward to celebrating their further achievements both on and off the pitch as they continue their development in education and as young footballers.
