Eckert: We're at full strength
Southampton Head Coach Tonda Eckert provided a positive team news update ahead of the visit of Derby County to St Mary's in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.
After Tuesday night's long trip to a play-off rival in Wrexham, Saints fans will be relieved to see their side come away from the Racecourse ground with a clean bill of health as well as a vital three points.
Eckert confirmed: "Everyone’s looking focused and sharp, there’s nothing back from the last game [at Wrexham] so we’re at full strength and ready to go. Our squad needs to be competitive at this part of the season, it's a very good sign."
On the test of Derby the Head Coach added: "It’s a massive game tomorrow. I think [Derby] have changed a bit in January when they went from a back three to a back four. They have one of the best strikers in the league. A very good team.
"We just need to carry on being humble. Humility is a good quality to have in life. We just need to focus on the rest of the season. We are ready to go."
