Eckert provides promising update on Scienza and Stewart
Tonda Eckert has provided a positive update ahead of Saints' homecoming against Norwich City on Wednesday night.
Returning to St Mary's Stadium after a four-game road trip, Eckert's side will be looking forward to having home comforts as they take on Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Saints boss provides an update on those missing through injury including promising updates on Leo Scienza and Ross Stewart.
"Leo [Scienza] and Ross [Stewart] have been on the pitch today, which is very good so we will see tomorrow.
"Mads [Roerslev] is going to take a little bit longer, he's still got his boot around his foot, and I think that's another week until that gets off. Jay [Robinson] has been with the team now for the first training session so it's very nice to have him back on the pitch.
"Welly is going to have his first session on Thursday with us, so slowly getting him back in.
"January has been quite positive with game after game. We might pick up something every now and then, but availability has been key this week."
Flynn Downes and James Bree have both survived a suspension for accumulation, with the duo's caution count resetting at the weekend.
Saints return to St Mary's after four games on the road with a home clash against Norwich on Wednesday 18th March (7.45pm GMT). Tickets start from £25 for Adults and £15 for Juniors. All previously purchased tickets for the original date remain valid.
