Coaches of Tomorrow returns for a third season
Our popular female coach development programme, Coaches of Tomorrow, is back for the 2024/25 season in partnership with Starling Bank.
The Coaches of Tomorrow programme, in partnership with Starling Bank, represents our joint commitment to empower women’s and girls’ football. The programme has already introduced 45 new female coaches into grassroots football and is currently accepting applications to recruit a further 25 to complete the programme this winter.
Coaches of Tomorrow participants will benefit from support through the EE Playmaker Course, a funded place on the England Football Learning Introduction to Coaching course, and an additional 10 weeks of bespoke learning provided by Southampton FC’s skilled coach development staff.
These comprehensive training and mentoring opportunities help equip new female coaches with the skills and confidence to go out and actively coach on the community. Improving female representation amongst grassroots coaching is just one of the ways in which we’re striving to have a positive impact on women’s and girls’ football. Find out more about our partnership here.
One of the programme’s first graduates, Rebecca Nichols, has since progressed to complete her UEFA C License and is putting this to great use coaching at her local club AFC Whitely. Find out more about Rebecca’s coaching story here.
