Southampton Football Club can confirm that Kgaogelo Chauke has departed the club on a permanent transfer to Burton Albion.

The 20-year-old has completed his move to the League One club after spending six years at St Mary's, having initially joined the academy from Thatcham Town.

The South African youngster impressed through the age groups and signed a professional contract in 2020 before making his first team debut against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup in January 2021.

Last season, Chauke made 27 appearances in League One during his first senior loan to Exeter City and has now traded The Grecians for The Brewers as he departs on a permanent deal.

The club would like to wish Kegs well for the future and thank him for his efforts during his time as a Southampton player.
