Southampton men's first team's trip to Aston Villa on Friday 16th September is to go ahead as planned, the Premier League has confirmed.

Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side will make the trip to Villa Park as scheduled, where tributes will be paid to Her late Majesty.

As part of nationwide postponements, Saints’ home clash with Brentford (scheduled for Saturday 10th September) did not take place as a mark of respect after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

A new date for the fixture will be announced once known, and all tickets will remain valid for the rearranged game. Further ticket information, including details for supporters unable to make the rearranged fixture, will be published once any dates are announced.
