With schools being closed our Community Champions will still be supporting students throughout the city, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saints Foundation Personal Development programme

Saints Foundation is proud to announce a new home-schooling offer geared at helping secondary school students develop their personal skills whilst earning a Princes Trust Achieve qualification.

Saints Foundation Personal Development Programme is a two-week course aimed at those wanting to prepare themselves for further education, apprenticeships or other work-based learning.

The course is open to anyone in the community of Southampton who is of secondary school age (Y7-11) and will start on Monday 4th May

Once completed to an expected standard, each student will earn themselves an Entry Level One Princes Trust Achieve Qualification. The programme will consist of virtual lessons and would require participants to have access to a computer, tablet or smart phone.

Each lesson will be a daily group session of up to an hour with our Community Champions, who will set them some tasks to complete. Participants will have a workbook to work through, which can be sent as a PDF and a limited amount of copies can be delivered across Southampton depending on when the students sign up.

There will also be access to staff throughout the day if your child has any questions about the work through a safe and secure network.

During the qualification they will complete two units, one around a personal project and the other around leading physical exercise for the family – these transferable skills gained should help get them ready for working life and employment.

For those that do sign up there will be opportunities to win Saints-themed prizes throughout the sessions.

If you are interested in joining us for Saints Personal Development Programme click below to sign your child up. But, do be quick as there are limited numbers of spaces available on the course.

This project is an extension of our usual Community Champion delivery and is funded by Premier League Inspires, PFA & Southern Universities Network.

Apologies, applications for this round have now closed as we have reached capacity. Please keep an eye on this page and on our social media channels for news of other opportunities.
