Working for us

Our Culture
Southampton Football Club is a Premier League club competing at the highest level of professional football with a culture which promotes respect, unity, aspiration, innovation and discipline – this is The Southampton Way.

Our Values
We look for people with integrity, compassion and support for those around them; people who take pride in what they do with an honest approach, who embrace a challenge while also being accountable for their decisions; people who have the energy and passion to bring an innovative approach to their role and strive to be different from the rest; people with the aspiration to lead the way and become an example to others.
We're here for our employees
At Southampton, we’re committed to keeping staff engagement and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.
In 2021 we launched Saints Life, a new initiative that encapsulates all the ways we try and make the working lives of our staff enjoyable, engaging and rewarding across four key areas; Reward and Recognition, Personal Development, Staff Engagement, and Health in Mind.
Under Saints Life there are already a range of initiatives, programmes and benefits in place, aimed at enhancing skillsets, celebrating great examples of work by colleagues and departments, and supporting our mental and physical health.
Here are some examples of the initiatives you could benefit from if you come to work for us…

Wellbeing
Lead by our dedicated Health & Wellbeing Team, they provide a variety of fitness sessions, sporting events, mindfulness activities, health checks and much more to suit your every need, and they are always striving to find new ways to help staff.
We’re constantly looking at new ways we can support you to ensure you have all the tools and help you require should you be struggling, either at work or in your personal life. We currently have a partnership with Health Assured who provide our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and we have recently increased our team of Mental Health First Aiders to 20, covering both the stadium and training ground sites.

Equality & Diversity
In 2020, Southampton Football Club were awarded Premier League Equality Advanced Standards, becoming the first top flight club to earn the accolade at the first time of trying.
During the 2021/22 season, we partnered with Hummel to launch the No Place for Homophobia in Southampton campaign, including the unveiling of a striking mural close to St Mary’s stadium in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
Internally, we have staff networks to support Southampton Football Club to develop positive working environments for all. Additionally, we have an external Inclusion Advisory Group, consisting of supporters and advisory representatives, who work alongside the club to positively challenge our strategy and action plans.
And of course, we are a Disability Confident Employer. We pride ourselves on our commitment to employing people on their abilities alone and to promote equal opportunities in employment. We positively welcome applications from all candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
