The 2021/22 season came to a close for many of Southampton’s loanees this weekend across the leagues. This and more in today’s Loan Watch…

Saturday marked the final day of Football League Two action for the current season, with a number of Saints stars wrapping up their loan spells.

Crawley Town were engaged in an enthralling 3-3 draw at Oldham Athletic, coming from behind twice to secure an impressive point on the road to see them finish the season in 12th place.

Saints loanee Will Ferry has been a mainstay in their starting XI since joining at the start of the season, making 36 appearances in the league. With a goal and three assists to his name, the Ireland Under-21 international has become a fan favourite at The People’s Pension Stadium.

20-year-old Dynel Simeu has had similar success at Carlisle United after joining them on loan in January, aiding them to survival in League Two and making 18 appearances in this time.

With Paul Simpson appointed Carlisle manager back in February, the Cumbrian side turned their season around, finishing 20th in the league standings come the final day, confirming their League Two status for another year.

The season continues for Kayne Ramsay and Jake Vokins at Ross County as they compete in the second phase of the Scottish Premiership after finishing fifth in the first phase.

Vokins joined the Scottish outfit back in July 2021, while Ramsay followed his teammate across the border in January 2022. Vokins has since made 20 appearances for Malky Mackay’s side, while Ramsay has made eight in his short time at the club.

After making 16 appearances and scoring once for Lincoln City, Dan Nlundulu made the move to Cheltenham Town at the start of the year – going on to make four appearances and scoring once for the League One side before ending his season early through injury.
