Southampton’s youngsters will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing loss to Arsenal last time out, as they host Crystal Palace at Staplewood Campus.
Saints vs Crystal Palace
Under-18s Premier League
Saturday 9th April, 11am BST
Carl Martin’s side currently sit second in the league standings, despite their unbeaten run coming to an end last time out.
A Jimmy Jay-Morgan brace wasn’t enough to fight off a dominant Arsenal and Saints will be looking to reduce the gap to leaders West Ham United with victory over Palace.
The visitors have found fine form in recent weeks, seeing them rise to 3rd in the current Under-18 Premier League table.
A Victor Akinwale hattrick aided a comprehensive victory over Aston Villa last time out, with Jadan Raymond, David Ozoh and Ademola Ola-Adebomi all on the scoresheet.
Victory for Palace would see them leapfrog Saints in the league standings.
Palace edged the reverse fixture at Crystal Palace Training Ground back in September by just one goal, with Jadan Raymond netting in the 35th minute.
"It was a tough game last week," admitted Under 18 Individual Coach Mikey Harris. "We had some good chances in the game and I think we had some good moment but they were very clincal on the day.
"We were really disappointed to come away with nothing but we've got another really important game against Crystal Palace who are flying in the league and in form.
"It's going to be a really tough game but it's one we're looking forward to and hopefully we can put in a really good performance and get something out of the game."
