After back-to-back cup outings it was a return to National League Southern Premier action for Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side on Wednesday.

They faced a tough trip to promotion rivals Oxford United, with Alisha Ware getting an early opener before Carly Johns equalised in what was an eventual point-a-piece for both sides.

Bridgwater also faced a difficult task in their last outing, hosting another of Saints' promotion challengers Ipswich Town last Sunday.

Anna Grey got the only goal of the game for the visitors, on what was a brave performance by Bridgwater against tricky opposition.
