Southampton's B team will play for the first time since the end of January as they return to New Bucks Head to face West Brom, this time in Premier League 2.
West Brom vs Saints
Premier League 2
New Bucks Head
Monday 7th February, 7pm GMT
It's the fourth meeting between Saints and West Brom this season as the two sides, drawn together in the Premier League Cup, play out the return fixture in Premier League 2.
For Dave Horseman's side their last fixture also came in the cup competition, falling to a 1-0 defeat at home to AFC Bournemouth on January 27th at Staplewood Campus.
It's been a yet longer wait for a return for the Baggies, who were last on the field three days prior; beaten 3-2 at Birmingham City in league action.
West Brom can close the gap on second place Norwich to just one point with a win on Monday, whilst Saints can rise to fourth, two points behind their hosts, with a win of their own.
Come kick-off on Monday night it will have been just 25 days since the two sides last met, with New Bucks Head the same venue as January's meeting.
Ramello Mitchell notched the first for Saints on the stroke of half-time who were reduced to ten men during the second half shortly before the Baggies equalised.
Kazeem Olaigbe's quality strike just over 15 minutes from time was worthy of winning every game.
But the hosts came back in the final minute, equalising for a second time through Reyes Cleary.
"They're a good team," said Horseman, "they beat Aston Villa recently and I think the window will be interesting for them.
"If a couple of their senior lads go out then they won't be as old as the previous games.
"I've enjoyed our games against them this year. We got mullered in the first one but the last two have been really tight between two good teams.
"They're really well coached and I'm looking forward to this one as I've enjoyed the games so far."
