After picking up an impressive 3-0 win over Newcastle on the road in the Under 18 Premier League Cup on Tuesday, Carl Martin’s side will be looking to reflect that form in the league.

A Tommy-Lee Higgs double as well as a goal from Jimmy-Jay Morgan saw an incredibly youthful Saints side claim victory, coming just inches away from securing progression to the next round.

The visitors were edged out by Arsenal in their 2022 league opener last weekend, with Thomas Blocham and Jaden Williams scoring in their 3-2 defeat.

Saints emerged 3-0 victors when these two sides met in the reverse fixture back in November.

Fedel Ross-Lang, Jimmy Jay-Morgan and Tyler Dibling all found themselves on the scoresheet.

“Obviously Spurs are a top team and it’s always a really high level game, high level of challenge,” claimed Under 18 Individual Coach Mikey Harris.

“It’s one we’re looking forward to. I think there’s a good confidence within the group following the game on Tuesday. The boys have been training well and the sun is shining so it’s a good place at the moment.

“We’re not under any illusions of the scale of the challenge tomorrow but it’s a game we’re really looking forward to.”
