Moi Elyounoussi scored for Norway to ensure a 2-0 victory over Latvia in their FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group G match at Daugava Stadium.

Erling Haaland’s penalty launched the visitors in front after just 20 minutes, before Elyounoussi’s left footed shot extended their lead past the hour mark.

After an impressive shift, the Norwegian was replaced by Mats Møller Daehli on the 77th minute.

Norway now sit third in Group G one point adrift of leaders Tirkey, with just one game left to play against Gibraltar on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Ché Adams started Scotland’s Saturday night clash with Moldova on the bench, making his appearance upon 65 minutes.

It didn’t take long for Adams to make an impact as he injected some pace into the game, launching a shot from 22-yards-out but it was deflected wide.

Lyndon Dykes’ goal was the difference at Hampden Park as Scotland move up to third in Group F, concluding their World Cup qualifying campaign against Austria on Tuesday.
