Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of Southampton’s first Premier League home clash of the season.

It's been a big week for Saints who face Manchester United on Sunday, as captain James Ward-Prowse signed a new five year contract on Thursday, commiting his future to the club.

New signing Dynel Simeu has moved up to first team training this week after the departure of Jannik Vestergaard.

“So far we have no real big injury problems at the moment,” said the boss as he addressed the media on Friday afternoon.

“I am very, very happy that in every position now we have more quality. The squad is much more balanced, and we need everybody.

“It’s always helpful if we have a bigger side and bigger alternatives which is what we have the season.”

On new arrival Adam Armstrong, the boss said: “He can score goals, he has shown. He can play for the team, he has shown – this is important for me."
