Westquay Store to close in January

By SFC Media time Mon 28 Dec Retail

Southampton Football Club has taken the decision to close the Saints Store at Westquay from Sunday 31st January, as part of the ongoing improvements to its retail offering.

The news follows on from the complete overhaul of the club’s online retail store at the start of 2020, which has helped to better serve the ever-increasing number of supporters who wish to purchase their Saints merchandise and products online rather than in store.

With the percentage of transactions completed online vs in store expected to continue to rise, it has been decided that is no longer viable to operate two physical stores within a one-mile radius of each other, and this move will allow the club to focus even more resource on fulfilling its online orders.

Supporters will still be able to shop in person at the Stadium Store at St Mary’s once tier restrictions allow, where they will continue to benefit from our full range of products and free parking.

Should tier restrictions change and the Westquay store is able to reopen before the end of January, a clearance event will take place before it shuts its doors for the final time.
