This school holidays, we’ve opened the doors of two Christmas Community Hubs to provide three jam-packed days of activities for local young people.
Nearly 50 young people from across the City came along to Woodlands Community College and Newtown Youth Centre for our Kicks Holiday Camps, which ran from 21st to 23rd December.
Our Kicks team kept participants active and entertained with a wide range of activities, ranging from music workshops to social action sessions – and more than a few games of football, of course!

Our young people also explored how they can make a positive impact to their local community. Discussions at a social action workshop resulted in participants creating Christmas cards, which could be sent to care home residents who face spending Christmas without their loved ones.
This very special Christmas delivery was all thanks to funding from our brilliant partners, Barclays and the Premier League.
We also want to say a huge thank you to all the local businesses who supported the camps. Partners including No Limits, SOCO Music and the Hampshire Cricket Board ensured that a diverse range of sessions were on offer, and generous food donations from Banana Wharf, City Catering and HIS Solution meant that all participants received a lunchtime hot meal.
Kicks is a Premier League-funded youth improvement programme that strives to bring young people together through football.
