Senior Saints open Christmas cards from Primary Stars

By Saints Foundation Media time Mon 21 Dec Saints Foundation News

Premier League Primary Stars students from Foundry Lane Primary School surprised our Senior Saints with personalised homemade Christmas cards. We captured their delight as they gathered to open them on a very special video call.

Saints As One, the joint outreach campaign from Saints Foundation and Southampton FC, has been striving to help stay connected during this difficult time.

Recognising that many older adults are left feeling isolated and alone at Christmas, we found a way to connect them through some of our youngest participants.

Pupils at Foundry Lane Primary School worked with our Premier League Primary Stars to create some very special Christmas cards for the participants of our Senior Saints project.

The group then gathered on one of their weekly video calls to open the cards together, sharing the love by reading out the messages inside.

Isn’t that lovely, beautiful card. They are so thoughtful.

Thank you to the students of Foundry Lane Primary School for their brilliant cards, and a very Merry Christmas from everyone at Saints Foundation.
