Return to St Mary’s: Ticketing and matchday information

By SFC Media time Wed 09 Dec Return to St Marys

Fans are being welcomed back to St Mary’s for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Sheffield United with the club selecting eligible Season Ticket holders to attend the game.

Following consultation with fan groups, the club held a ballot to decide which supporters will attend Sunday’s match and have communicated directly with those fans that were successful.

Season Ticket holders that were not selected will be eligible for the ballot for Southampton’s next home game against Manchester City on Saturday 19th December. They shall receive a pro rata refund for Sunday’s match against Sheffield United, along with Season Ticket holders that confirmed to the club that they do not wish to be considered for selection.

See below for more information to find out whether you were successful in the ballot, how you can access your ticket, and changes you can expect to the matchday experience at St Mary’s.

Have I been successful in the ticket ballot?

Those Season Ticket holders that were selected to attend the match against Sheffield United have been contacted at the email address listed on their ticketing account. If you haven’t received an email, please make sure to check your spam folder or promotions folder in Gmail.

The club will be calling all fans that were successful in the ballot by phone later this week if they have not opened the email that was sent to them.

Please note that for those fans that have been placed in a priority group, based on being long-standing Season Ticket holders that have attended the majority of matches in recent seasons, if you elected to be in a social bubble with other supporters who are in the same priority group as you, you will be seated together for each match.

However, if you are in a social bubble with other eligible Season Ticket holders who do not fall within the same priority group as you, they will enter the ballot. When they are successful in the ballot you shall be grouped together to ensure you can enjoy the match as a group. When they are not successful, you will receive your ticket separately.

How do I download my ticket?

All fans attending Sunday’s match have been emailed an e-ticket that can either be downloaded to your mobile device or printed at home – these tickets are non-transferable and must be presented on arrival at the stadium along with photo ID.

Fans can find information about where their seat is located and which entrance they need to arrive at on their e-ticket.

Due to restrictions on which parts of St Mary’s we are able to open, we cannot guarantee that Season Ticket holders will be in their chosen seats, but we will endeavour to assign seats that are at a similar height and proximity to exits where possible.

To find out how you can access your ticket, watch the video or follow the step-by-step guide below:

The Ticket Office will be open on Friday 11th December from 10am-2pm and Sunday 13th December morning from 8.45am-9.30am to deal with any issues supporters who are attending may have.

What are the safety guidelines on the day of the game?

The safety and wellbeing of supporters and staff at St Mary's is our priority, and we have been working on a number of measures and changes designed to keep everyone safe.

You can find our full guidance on how to stay safe at St Mary’s here. It is vital you read and understand the information provided by the club and follow our COVID-19 protocols.

We would ask that if the situation changes for any fan and they cannot attend because they need to isolate, please email the club at [email protected].

Before arriving, all supporters attending must complete a mandatory health questionnaire that will be emailed to you ahead of the match. You will not be admitted into the stadium without filling out this questionnaire.

Fans will need to enter the stadium through a specific coloured gate that will be clearly marked on your ticket – please familiarise yourself with the correct entrance before you arrive at the stadium.

Facemasks must be worn at all times for the duration of your visit. If you are exempt from wearing a mask for medical reasons, please get in touch with our Supporter Services Team as soon as you have been allocated a ticket so we can issue an exemption band [email protected].
