Ralph Hasenhüttl has been named on the shortlist for Premier League Manager of the Month, having impressively steered Saints through an unbeaten October.
Wins over West Bromwich Albion and Everton were important gauges of how Saints were settling into 2020/21, while a stoppage-time equaliser from Jannik Vestergaard secured a thoroughly entertaining draw at Chelsea.
Saints have since stretched their unbeaten run to five games, dating back to September, following a dramatic victory over Aston Villa (which actually fell into November) and have the best recent form record of any side in the current top six.
Navigating a tricky opening few games, Hasenhüttl has now guided Saints towards the coveted European spots, with striker Ché Adams also gaining recognition for his contribution to Saints' success with a nomination for Player of the Month.
The Austrian is joined by Nuno Espírito Santo, José Mourinho, David Moyes and Dean Smith in the running for October's prize.
